Feb. 25, 2005: Pickering Real Estate Profile - Pickering is located in Durham region, 40 km east of downtown Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario. The quaint towns of Whitevale, Greenwood, Cherrywood, Claremont and Brougham in north Pickering reflect the rustic characteristics of this region. In March, there is the Annual Pickering Hockey Association "AE" tournament. As well, the Seniors Month Big Band event is in June, and of course Canada Day Celebrations on July 1.
